Giving a little back
We recognise our responsibilities and the potential impact our business has on the local community where we live and work as well as in the wider world.
That’s why the team at Benson Wood + Co are committed to making a positive contribution to help worthy causes that, in turn, benefit those who live in and around Airdrie.
Each year, we select an official charity of the year, to provide a focus for the majority of our fundraising efforts. In addition, we donate gifts each Christmas and Easter to local children who are living in poverty.
Our charity of the year
We have chosen St Andrew’s Hospice as our firm’s official charity of the year. We have lots of fundraising initiatives in the pipeline and we hope you will join with us to support this local charity which does so much good work, supporting individuals and their families with life limiting illnesses.
About St Andrew’s Hospice
As a specialist palliative care hospice, St Andrew’s Hospice provides multidisciplinary support for patients, families and carers by providing:
- Up to 30 inpatient specialist palliative care beds
- Outpatient & Wellbeing services for specialist palliative care services
- Community Support at Home Services
- Grief & Bereavement Support Services
- Consultant Led Medical Team
Whilst the hospice receives some funding from NHS Lanarkshire, this only partially covers their running costs and, as a registered charity, continued provision of these services is only made possible by the fundraising assistance of the people of Lanarkshire.

Supporting the global community
We are proud to announce that we have recently partnered with B1G1 – Business for Good – a global business community movement on a mission to create a world full of giving.
We will be donating our professional time and accountancy resources to achieve a positive social impact.
We are very excited to be a small part of this global initiative. Check back regularly for updates and projects we are involved with.
In the meantime, you can find out more about B1G1 here.
